SIG Pro-TEL: The Special Interest Group for Professional Technology Enhanced Learning
Mission Statement
The Special Interest Group for Professional Technology Enhanced Learning is a cluster to form a more coherent landscape of research in the area of Technology Enhanced Professional Learning. It brings together researchers, project managers and coordinators from national and international projects, to cooperate on a multitude of skills, ranging from discussions on thematic topics to administrative issues and exploitation.
Goals
The main goals of the SIG Pro-TEL are:
- Participation in high level advisory boards on national and international level
- Fostering of a research community in professional learning
- Identifying key research challenges in professional learning
- Bringing together EU projects to professional learning
- Making TEL research results from EU projects in professional learning sustainable
Target Group
The main target group covers researchers as well as industry representatives, who work in the area of professional technology enhanced learning and who are interested in participating in a community where important and interesting ascpects like requirements for ProTEL, sharing information, data as well as experiences will be discussed.
Join the Community
To build up this new community, we plan to create and maintain wikipedia entries, establish testbeds and showcases, archive professional learning related research results and organize meetings and events on conferences.
